Natasha Edwards

Natasha’s love for the Lord and for music began as a young child. Her pre-kindergarten teacher at the Christian school she attended told her mother, “She’s happiest when she’s singing,” and that is still true today!

Natasha has a passion for directing choirs. She earned her Bachelor’s Degree in Music from Messiah College (now Messiah University), with an emphasis in Church Music and Piano Performance, and a minor in Pre-Law. While in college, she honed her skills in directing choirs. She was the student director of the Messiah College Gospel Choir for all four years and, during her senior year, was hired as a choir director for The First United Methodist Church of Mechanicsburg, PA.

Upon graduating from Messiah, she taught piano lessons and directed the Indian Creek Church of the Brethren (COB) Choir in Harleysville, PA, as well as organized missions trips for GOGF Ministries in Lansdale, PA.

In 2008, Natasha put her musical endeavors and involvement with GOGF on hold to attend Cornell Law School, where she received her Juris Doctorate with a concentration in trial advocacy in 2011. She currently is an associate attorney with the Law Office of Maryann Q. Modesti, P.C., in Blue Bell, PA, where she practices family law in the surrounding counties (Philadelphia, Montgomery, Bucks, Chester, Delaware, Lehigh, and Berks).

After law school, Natasha continued to direct the Indian Creek COB Choir. In the fall of 2023, she revived the Montco Bible Fellowship Choir, which had been lying dormant for over 10 years after losing their director. For Christmas 2023, Natasha merged both choirs for a Christmas Concert, and from then on has led both choirs as one joint choir. She incorporated the joint choir in August 2025 as a non-profit, community choir under the name “Hearts of Worship Choir.” Since incorporation, the choir has expanded to include members and musicians from other churches, and we have seen God’s hand at work to broaden the outreach of our ministry.

Natasha is a wife, daughter, sister, and “auntie,” who loves spending time with her family and feels especially blessed to be serving in this choir ministry alongside her husband, Lamont Edwards, who is also an attorney and sits on the Board of Directors; her sister, Jamie Downing, who is a lead singer and Treasure for the choir; and her nephew, Marcel Downing, who is a drummer for the choir.

Natasha sees every aspect of her life as service and ministry to Jesus Christ, her Lord and Savior, with the ultimate goal of giving Him all the glory, honor, and praise for anything and everything He works through her to accomplish for His kingdom.

Natasha’s life verse is John 15:5, “I am the vine; you are the branches. If you remain in me and I in you, you will bear much fruit; apart from me you can do nothing.” (NIV).
